A panel
discussion and Q&A session moderated by Dr. Neal Hutchens of UK’s
Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation, a legislative fellow on the U.S.
Senate’s Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions, features
panelists from UK’s Anthropology department including Dr. Hsain Ilahiane,
formerly a Senior Researcher at Intel, and Dr. Susan Abbott-Jamieson, former
Senior Social Scientist in National Marine Fisheries Service (NOAA Fisheries)
in the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). We also
welcome two Chemistry PhDs, Dr. James Tanner and Dr. John Bauer, who have
worked for the FDA and Abbott Labs, respectively, as well as a recent graduate
from the biomedical sciences working in Illinois.
This is your
opportunity to learn about your career options outside of faculty positions,
and to hear from those who have forged the way.

Graduate School, the Graduate Student Congress, and UK Student Government
