Position Description
The intern will assist the Office of Research and Policy Analysis by supporting the office staff with their research activities, database management, report writing, and daily activities of the office. Tasks may range from creating access databases to report writing, analysis of student data, and online research of KCTCS benchmark institutions.
Positions are available for fall 2010 and spring 2011. A minimum of 12 weeks is required in order to provide adequate time to learn and acclimate to the work environment, make a meaningful contribution, and to have a substantive internship experience. The Intern is expected to work between 10 and 20 hours per week. The Office of Research and Policy Analysis will work with the student to earn college credit at their home institution (if desired) subject to the home institution’s internship policies and requirements. The fall 2010 intern may continue the internship through the spring 2011 term with approval from the internship coordinator and ORPA director.
