Dear students,
The following course is POSSIBLY going to be offered this fall: EPE 570 Gathering, Analyzing & Using Educational Data II? The course is intended for those that have already taken 557 or took an introduction to statistics course as an undergraduate or during their master's program or some time ago, but want some more experience with statistics and want to learn some new concepts before moving onto EDP/EPE 660: Intermediate Statistics, which focuses primarily on multiple regression.
The course covers applications of statistical and graphical methods for educational and evaluation data. Topics to be covered include descriptive statistics, correlation, normal distributions, hypothesis testing, regression, ANOVA, and power. General goals of this course include: developing an understanding of statistical concepts, improving reasoning and critical thinking skills, and to prepare students for more advanced quantitative courses. Students will gain valuable statistical computing skills utilizing SPSS and sometimes Excel.

If offered, it would be on Tuesday and Thursday from 11:00-12:15 in TEB 140.
