  • Will there be any work during evenings? 3-5 hours but will vary Weekend Very little
  • Job Description: Assists undergraduate students individually and in group setting to assist in preparation for the job search and employment process, present career preparation workshops to students; introduce and teach career development methods; supervise and/or conduct job readiness program (i.e. career coaching, resume critiquing, practice interview program, career week, etc.) available for special events and programs held occasionally in the evenings and a few weekends; serve as a liaison to assigned department, school, and/or college; responsible for working on 1-2 projects each semester; and will work collaboratively with professional staff daily.  Quick starter and knowledge in job search process. Candidates interested in pursuing career in career services profession and 2-year industry experience or work in higher education. Knowledge on the use of the Wildcat CareerLink, a Web-based NACElink career services management tool powered by Symplicity© that is the preferred system of student and employer registration.  Competitive applicants will have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a changing environment that is team driven, diverse, fast pace, and innovative.

  • Special Skills Required: Strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills; demonstrated ability to work as a team member; knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; and ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree and experience delivering excellent customer service in a professional environment or exceptional undergraduate with equivalent experience. Experience working with college students a plus.
